I have this horrible addiction to technology. My phone or my computer is nearly always in hand- and if it's not, either I'm looking for it frantically or showering (I'm not that crazy). Sometimes I find myself choosing these things over more important things- like actual conversations in the car or dinner, and it's not intentional, but somehow always apart of what I'm doing. SO- I'm setting out to change that. Each day I want to set aside at least 1 hour of time to be unplugged. No computers, no phones, real people & in real life conversation....call me crazy! I think it's a good thing.
So here's to the first of many unplugged hours; a cupcake date with my sister. It's always nice to catch up with this sweet girl, and even more so when there are yummy treats involved. We had a fun little afternoon of discussing her college plans, the recent drama, and the logo and website of her new up and coming business!

ReplyDeleteI love this! I decided at the beginning of this year to unplug for a few hours daily. Most days I do stick with my resolution. I go for a walk, to the beach...or read on the porch listening to the birds and the sounds of nature. It is amazing. xo Tami
